Practice tomorrow for any returning cheerleaders walking in the parade! We will practice 6-7pm at the Heights track.

The parade is on Saturday. Our number is 57. We will be with the other Pattonville groups. I'd like to meet between 9:15-9:30am so they aren't standing in the sun for so long before the parade starts. We will be at the corner of Avery and Benedetta by the Bridgeton Community Center. Here is a map for the drop off location. The easiest way to get there is to drop off at Drop Zone 2 (there's usually less traffic at that spot). Take St. Charles Rock Road and turn onto Harmony Ln (next to Guitar Center and Vantage Credit Union). Take the 2nd right as the road ends, onto Avery Ln and stay on Avery until you run into the drop off zone. Drop zone 1 is also available from the Rock Road and Fee Fee Rd, drive over highway 70 right before the community center. You'll turn left onto Avery Ln, drop off at the bottom of the hill, and they can walk to our location just on the other side of the street. The parade starts at 10am. We walk through the neighborhood to Natural Bridge and then walk down Natural Bridge to the Target parking lot. We are usually done around 11:30am and you can pick up in the Target lot once traffic clears. We will find a designated spot probably closer to the Walgreens in front of Target, to wait for parents. I know it takes a bit for parents to get to us so coaches will wait with them but the kids will wait with the coaches until you arrive. They are not allowed to be dismissed until a coach sees an adult. We can walk with them if we need to but I don't trust just sending 6-8th graders off into la la land in hopes that they find you. There is usually a fire truck spraying water, a station for hot dogs, snow cones, and water for the participants. Please come find us so we know they are safely with an adult.

The kids will get their program shirt at practice tomorrow. They should wear the program shirt with black bottoms. They need to wear comfortable walking shoes! Please no crocs, flip flops, etc. I'd strongly suggest sunscreen and they can wear sunglasses if they want.  They don't need any poms or bags, I don't know if we will have a truck this year so we may not have space for a bunch of stuff. Please don't send generic Pure Life, Dasani, Gatorade plastic bottles. Water bottles will get placed in a wagon and they can drink water as we walk. They need to be able to quickly identify their water bottle and put it back instead of trying to figure out who's bottle is who's. Finally, please make sure they eat breakfast beforehand! It gets hot walking in the sun and I don't want anyone getting lightheaded.
